This Creamy, smooth, sophisticated cocktail is not actually a Russian concoction at all. It simply gets its name because of the Vodka it’s based on. In fact, this cocktail started life as a Black Russian but somewhere along the road, someone added cream and so now we have ‘The White Russian’.
If you’ve never tried one, you’re in for a treat! It’s a creamy, dessert-like drink can only be described as delicious.
Nice and easy to make…
- 60ml Black Mountain Botanicals Vodka
- 15ml LOS CAFETEROS coffee liqueur
- 15ml Toffee Apple Liqueur
- 15ml Single cream
- Grated Nutmeg (optional)
Let’s go…
- Combine the Black Mountains Botanical Vodka, LOS CAFETEROS (coffee liqueur) and Toffee Apple Liqueur in a cocktail shaker packed with ice.
- Shake well
- Strain into a Rocks tumbler filled with ice
- Lightly beat the single cream until it starts to become frothy
- Pour over the back of a spoon to stop it sinking straight to the bottom
- Garnish with a dusting of freshly grated nutmeg… Optional but nice!
Best served over ice in a rocks glass
