The Frozen Mudslide is a refreshingly morish combination of coffee liqueur, vodka, Irish cream and ice cream. It’s like a summertime dream where cocktail meets milkshake.
NOTE: from experimentation, the quantities shown deliver the ‘best experience’ however, it’s quite boozy. So, consume responsibly!
What you’ll need…
- 50ml LOS CAFETEROS coffee liqueur
- 50ml Vodka
- 50ml Baileys Irish Cream
- 3 Scoops of quality Vanilla Ice Cream
- Squeezy bottle of Chocolate Sauce for the spiral
- Bar of Milk Chocolate for the shavings
Tip… Make sure the chocolate sauce is well chilled in the fridge before use. This will help it hold its shape better and for longer in the glass.
Glassware – Use a Hurricane glass
How you build it…
- Add a handful of ice cubes to a blender followed by the LOS CAFETEROS, Vodka, Baileys and Vanilla Ice Cream – but don’t blend just yet.
- Pour the chocolate sauce around the inside of your Hurricane glass in a spiral shape. Start as low as possible and end near the top. You do this by holding the glass in one hand angled to one side. Rotate the glass between your fingers as you squirt a bead of chocolate sauce inside and allow its track to gradually climb the glass.
- Now blend the ingredients until smooth. Then, carefully pour the deliciousness into your Hurricane glass.
- Grate some chocolate shavings over the top (a cheese grater will work fine).
- Add a ‘blue paper straw’ for contrast.
For the ultimate experience, consume via the straw.
